  "Animal Control strives to ensure safety among animals, as well as the citizens of Jefferson County"

 Per the request from the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department, please call (850) 997-2523 for the following:
*Dangerous / Aggressive Animals
*Animal Cruelty Cases
*Pet holding period for owner arrested/transported to the hospital


 Per the request from the Florida Highway Patrol, please call *FHP for the following:
 *Anything involving Interstate 10
 *Pet holding period for owner arrested/transported to the hospital

 
Trap and Release ( T&R ) Program for Feral Community Cats, please call (850) 342-0184: 
*Cats are retrieved from community 
* After capture, they will be transported for spay & neuter.  
*Once spay & neuter is complete, they are returned to the same location for release.
 

We do not pick up strays, as Jefferson County does not have a leash ordinance
