Fire & Rescue

Jefferson County Fire Rescue serves the citizens of Jefferson County by providing emergency response to fires as well as basic and advanced life support treatment and transport. We provide the primary fire suppression and emergency medical treatment and transport for all incorporated and unincorporated areas of Jefferson County.

Fire Response Team

We have 1 paid station with 18 full-time positions and about 15 part-time positions, 1 chief position and 1 office/billing position. All full-time and part-time employees are dual certified as either Firefighter II/Paramedic or Firefighter II/EMT. We have about 30 volunteer firefighters in our community. They respond from one of four volunteer stations, one in the City of Monticello and three in the County.
